History of Yates Creek Charters

Captain Hawk's family boasts nearly 125 years of saltwater fishing tradition with noted Cedar Key resident and fisherman B.F. Luttrell in the family. Captain Hawk has spent numerous days fishing and exploring the flats, backwaters, and rivers from Keaton Beach to Aripeka, Florida. Also, he has spent many summers' days fishing the waters around Walker's Island, Florida Keys.

Yates Creek Charters now offers fishing trips from Keaton Beach to Yankeetown, Florida, specializing mainly in the waters from Keaton Beach to south of Steinhatchee, Florida. Yates Creek Charters prefers artificial top-water lures and grubs, but uses all types of bait, including live and cut baits. The main fish we target include Spotted Sea Trout, Redfish, Flounder and Cobia.
